Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops, coaches and manages the business development team
  • Manages the daily activities of business development team; oversees outbound sales activity, lead control, and customer satisfaction
  • Trains the business development team on outbound sales techniques; continually supports and motivates team
  • Develops and manages business development team to ensure achievement of annual objectives
  • Continually gathers and monitors information on competition and market trends; communicates information to inside sales team and others as needed
  • Oversees preparation of sales tools participate in sales presentations as needed
  • Understands and communicates information regarding company product, services, and policies and procedures and sales information
  • Coordinates team sales meetings
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance
  • Creates a ‘can do’ culture and motivates team to achieve sales targets.
  • Monitors overall business development activities against defined activity and performance matrix; identifies problem areas and directs corrective actions
  • Provides timely and accurate activity and performance reports as required, uses and enforces the use of CRM to track performance data.
  • Attends and participates in business/trade events as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Proven Inside Sales Management Experience
  • Experience of recruitment and growing a business development team
  • Well-developed new business development skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees
  • Ability to work with all levels of management
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

  • Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
