    Reporting to the Director of Governance, Compliance & Risk, this role sits within an expanding team during a time of exciting growth for IDBS as we progress on the next phase of our cloud strategy within the Danaher family of companies. The Compliance Officer, a newly formed role for IDBS, will be responsible for the design, development, monitoring, continuous improvement and auditing of IDBS’s existing Quality and Information Security Management Systems (QMS and ISMS), as well as ensuring that our Management Systems are responsive to both internal and external contexts such as business needs, customer expectations, and legislative or regulatory requirements.


    The successful candidate will also be responsible for creating and implementing a compliance strategy which spans our global organization and aims to minimize risks to quality and information security.


    In addition to this, the Compliance Officer will support IDBS’s customer audits of its products and services including those related to GxP regulated computerized systems whether in regard to products or SaaS services, alongside overseeing all validation activities, including supplier assessment, tool validation, and product qualification.


    Core Responsibilities

    • Creating and maintaining the corporate quality strategy, and reporting on performance to the leadership team.
    • Implementing and continuously improving the Management Systems, including policies and procedures, and communicating changes as appropriate
    • Championing the process approach across the organization and assisting department process owners with process design.
    • Ensuring the QMS and ISMS comply with relevant legislation and regulations.
    • Ensuring the QMS and ISMS meet international standards, and auditing internally for compliance.
    • Identifying quality and information security risks and mitigations.
    • Representing the QMS and ISMS during customer and certification audits.
    • Ensuring all applicable suppliers are properly assessed for quality and information security.
    • Ensuring all applicable internal tools are properly validated.

    • GxP and regulated computerized systems
    • The software development lifecycle, particularly agile approaches such as Scrum
    • The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model
    • Root cause analysis (RCA) and risk management
    • Internal or external auditing
    • Privacy regulations
