You will be a key member of the team involved in designing, building, testing, deploying and maintaining software solutions in various programming languages and platforms.   As a Graduate Developer at IDBS, you will receive support, guidance and on-the-job training as required to help IDBS make products that are technically great, of high quality and awesome to use.     What do you need? To be successful in this role you need to have a passion for software. You will need experience of developing in Java and JavaScript, either from your academic study/project work or ideally from a placement or you may have some experience in a similar role under your belt.  Don’t worry if you’re not a pro – we can help make you one.   A good honours degree in a computer science or science-based subject is desirable; but your technical expertise should speak for itself. Learn from the best (and maybe teach them something along the way!)   The IDBS Product Delivery department consists of agile, self-organising, feature teams having ownership of development, test and support of discrete areas of functionality within our product suite. Working closely with Product Managers and Business Analysts we rapidly deliver additional value to the business.   Student Placement Opportunities (starting July 2018 for 1 Year) IDBS offers student placement positions for developers and testers within the Product Delivery department. These are typically one year placements starting each summer. The objective of the placement is to gain industrial experience in the use of agile development practices, additionally gaining competency as a developer or tester. As a member of the development team you will implement functionality using technologies such as Java/.NET/HTML/JavaScript. The work you undertake will include green field development on existing and new products which are part of larger projects. At all times you will be mentored by members of the team to help you develop your knowledge in relevant areas of the software domain and to grow your skills as a software developer.   Support, guidance and on-the-job training will be given as needed depending on your individual needs.

We seek a dynamic, experienced product professional to join the IDBS product team specifically to help expand the penetration of The E-WorkBook Cloud into the biotechnology R&D market. We are looking for an individual with commercial vision, who cares passionately about making sure our products deliver value to our customers, and in turn, can help ensure our products remain innovative, grow market share and help maintain IDBS’ strong brand.   As Product (Business) Manager, you will work across the entire project lifecycle from product definition through to sales execution. You’ll help define and execute a product strategy and commercial roadmap aligned to sales and marketing initiatives and campaigns designed to drive sales and customer affinity with IDBS Products. If you’re not already, you’ll swiftly become recognized as a thought-leader in the market sector, representing and contributing to IDBS' positioning, and will act as product champion and lead evangelist both internally and with our customers.   In addition, you’ll: - Maintain market awareness and act as a subject matter expert within your product & market segment: including analysis of market conditions, needs, targets, and competitive threat - Work closely with our software development organization to design and deliver products that meet customer and future market needs - Manage/own a market-segment revenue number and be responsible for the forecasting, budgeting and the associated marketing spend towards that market. - Develop, manage and report on key product metrics/KPIs through creation, validation, and execution of product strategies - Manage the relationship with internal stakeholders to deliver an integrated sales and marketing plan and ensure sales readiness and execution - Lead/Input into all aspects of the Product Marketing mix including pricing, presentations (webinars), social media, CRM etc. - Drive development around key customer and product presentations for tradeshows, events and accounts - Support our Product Marketing Manager in the creation of relevant and impactful messaging/content We value the different backgrounds that individuals can bring to IDBS and look to strengthen our team by ideally hiring someone who brings in complementary skills and experience.
